Dear Richard
The first Image was taken in Hampstead High Street, and a few things have changed, Skoyles Hardwareshop is now and Orange Phone shop. The grocers on the other corner is now an opticians, The telephone box and the King William IV tavern is still there. However if he tried to park there today he would get a ticket for parking on double yellow lines. How things have changed.
Great Photo.

Have you noticed that its the same chap in the new photo as in the old photo (behind the car) he is aging well except his hands, which are now black!

I am fairly certain that it is not the same person in both images.
These white people in Hampstead all look the same to me.
