Chris Thomas mentioned it in his Spanish report in RUMCAR NEWS 113. There are some more photos on Wikipedia

Dear Bob
What did you want to know?
At the moment it is in a display of cars manufactured in Barcelona at the central Barcelona museum. It belongs to Claudio Rocca who has a very extensive microcar collection. This car is his favorite to drive, and not only have I seen it I was taken to his secure store to see it. It is unlikely to be at the Manresa rally next month as it is in the exhibition.
What else did you want to know?

Adrain Polley sent me the link and asked if I knew the car and I didnt remember it from your article. Now that you ask I am curious as to what powers it. That red cylinder jacket has Scott overtones!

Dear Bob
I have given you some misinformaation. His name Claudi Roca not Claudio Rocca ( his Iitalian cousin) and the MT has been entered in the Rally. Caudi has entered 6 cars, all of which were in the museum exhibition in Barcelona.
The engine is a 175 cc MT engine. MT were tram manufacturers who went on to make scooters and then the MT small cars. TheGreen MT you are asking about is thought to be the only one made.
Many of the others were triporters with a box on the front where the seats are and the driver sits on a scooter saddle over the rear wheel.
Are you thinking of doing a similar thing with a Vespa engine for your next project???

A 150 LD or D engine from a Lambretta would be a good option and easy to source.
-
If you follow this link there is a good picture of the engine, also some of the cars in Claudi's collection

Many thanks Chris. I have owned a Triporter before, a Galland , it was before your time so you wont remember it. They do nothing for me and I got shot of it in favor of more cars. Its an interesting car though, I'm glad Adrian sent me the link. The Manresa list looks great, I really wish I was going but finances prohibit it plus I would want to take something exotic which I dont have on the road yet. Maybe next time.

purton and thomas outside my study !!
chris in one small piece you list the mans name as Claudi ,Claudio and Caudi it's really hard to know which to believe . any chance of tracing down any further details on the man or possibly his cars is going to be ridiculous . we all make spelling mistakes but a bit of care is all it takes fgs !!

Chris has not met them yet. Three brothers, one car with nothing in it. Matron is calling.
-
It is all down to my one fingered tiping.
Claudi Roca Google it and look at images and you will see some of his other cars ( but not all)
Do I really have to come up to Liverpool and stand outside your study????

osed too no howe too spill kerekly. ::)

Not all his cars are there as his brothers have them. His sister is Modsanne and a bit of a biker.
-
One finger typing is not the problem , that's what I do ,it's where you are putting it . Remember all the letters are there - but not necessarily in the right order :)
-
Back to the point did we ever decide what the engine was - it's unusual. The Manresa Rally looks terrific and a road run in that company fantastic.
-
Yes, it has an MT engine made by the same company. Unlike many of the other Spanish Microcars that use the Hispano Villers engine.
