Wow! Laurie Bond gets an entry in the new Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. Sounds like the editors have finally discovered that Britain once had a motoring history.

It was originally published alongside a brief road impressions article on the Mark C in The Autocar issue for 2nd December 1955. The article mentioned that the car had no jack and that this was the official procedure for changing the wheel - "causing much amusement among onlookers"
