Apparently the Oldsmobile Pirate started life with a 1.5 Litre single engine delivering 7hp at 600 rpm - must have made a very good chugging noise. The "restored" looking car is a modern recreation re-engineered using the old photos as blueprints.

With the seat so far behind the back axle, I'm not surprised the driver is leaning forwards as much as he is - desperate to keep the front wheels on the ground, I imagine.

Thrusters or Mufflers? Ooo err, Missus. I thought they were fuel tanks.

Could this be the prototype Challenger space shuttle with its liquid fuel separated for safe operation? Just as will Von Braun turned up when he did!

No muffler, the pointy bits on top are tanks, one's for water and the other for fuel.
