Hi all. Can anyone recommend a good microcar seat upholsterer please.
-
Rhona- end of ;)
-
"end of" is sadly all to appropriate, been waiting for three years for her to do my Isetta seat. Last time we spoke she said she was not going to do anymore.. Shame as she did a great job on my Inter.
Need someone who can do a good job and turn it over in weeks, not years.

I'm going to see a bloke near me to cover the peel seat next week , I explained it was a basic frame and that's it but he said he can make all the parts needed , so I will let you know how I get on

Hope she is not suffering as Joyce Darby, with rheumatism in the hands. Thats why she had to give up. There is a nice little earner for someone to pool the correct materials and pop out trim items if they have the appropriate skills.

I don't think it is al. I think it's that she and ken are VERY active rallyists and grandparents . You are correct al - we all know it I have a friend who is doing me A roof for the Gordon - he's also been about 3 years ! For those with the skills I imagine these are fairly straightforward . I don't say easy

Bob, The upholsterer just up the road from the Farm did a great job on the nearly completed seat covers Richard gave me. He also put new tensioning strips on Jamie's P50 seat. He is good but a bit pricey.

Thanks Jean. Maybe I can have a look when I'm next over.

After searching far and wide I stumbled across a car trimmers in Romford, more of less on my doorstep! I popped in on them this afternoon and its quite a large concern. Four full time trimmers working there and a huge building full of classic cars including a nice little Ape tuk tuk! The quality of the work looked top rate so I think my seats are going to cost me an arm and a leg. Still nothing but the best for the Bobette! I will report back in case anyone else wants to use them. What do you think of my joinery?
-
Its certainly joined, so that is better than most of the country for a start! Spares box, sandwich box and trophy certs/rally plaques box. How neat.
-
Just got my seats back from the trimmers and here they are. I'm very pleased with the work! Not cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.
I can pass on there details if anyone wants to use them.

Wow Bob that looks superb, looking forward to seeing the finished vehicle.
-
well it would have to be a high standard of car to justify those seats bob but I guess it will
-
Nice job, they look stunning
-
hope this isn't going to be too good to drive, I'm already frightened to sit on the seat! ;D
-
with your vegetarian diet I would be :)
-
Ha Ha!! A better diet than custard creams though. ;D
-
Looks really good Bob well done
-

I will lend you two Dalmatians. That will break it in.

I guess it would but that would cause me to utter 101 Damnations! ;D
