Intersting website: artistically brilliant, but in practical terms awful.
No mention of who or where, no indication of any contact details other than contact via the web.
Could be a scam run from Nigeria, for all we know!

Nigeria might be more reliable for lost value of money.
The electricery version persuades me that this might be the Hillman version again. But then I do not know what the underpinnings look like, which would be the give away. Nicely presented site otherwise.

Only thing I would say is no phone number or address.. tread carefully! (Actually an address is required if you are selling on you site by EU law....)

Interesting. But if your not in the EU they cannot pursue you if they find out your address. Rather reinforces the lack of comeback in trading with a black hole supplier. Yet not trading from anywhere is a good business model for a mail order trader. Mail order means no visitors, you are in your banking tax jurisdiction. That can be helpful. In practice it seems a hard way to operate. Some infrastructure is normally required to get things done.

I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Jim, I'm the owner of P50cars.com.
Thank you for your comments regarding my site, it is still a work in progress but I hope to add more information to it very soon.
I'd like to dispel a few myths, 1) I'm not the Hillman 'Peel Engineering' Co. 2) nor am I Nigerian, not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with being the latter :)

Where's the smoke?
Are the synthetics really that smokeless?

Hi Steven, yes the modern synthetic oils are good, not that good tho, unfortunately :)
I think the lack of visible smoke on the video may be due to the bright sunshine and strong breeze on the day.
It also is probably running a little lean on oil as I haven't run that P50 for a number of months and the fuel may have separated in the tank.

Good luck with your venture Jim. I sometimes wonder why I didn't think of making copies of my two P50s in 1976 including EME 583B, the Top Gear car.

Thank you Rob, it's been allot of hard work to get to this stage.
I think Bob's right, the value of the originals at the time wouldn't have justified it.

Hi Milnes, thank you, we've tried to make the site look as good as the cars we build, hopefully it does them justice :)
Still allot more information needs to go up on it though, just need to find the time to add it.
Our P50s sell for £8,499 inc. VAT, this price is for a fully road legal (4 stroke petrol or electric) tested and registered vehicle. It's also offered as a self build P50 kit starting from £2,999 inc. VAT.
Although it's not on the site yet there are a very very limited number of original 2 stroke DKW engined P50s in production, again fully road legal.
Yes, a Trident is very much in the works, like the P50 it'll come in both fully built and kit versions.
At the moment we are also looking into producing replacement parts for other microcars.
I spoke to a few people at the Hammond collection open day about producing Scootacar rear lights, as I believe they are becoming very rare.
We are very keen to help other microcar enthusiasts out with their restorations whether with parts, painting etc.
