Title: Lawil Brakes
Post by: eaurouge on August 09, 2015, 12:09:39 PM
Help...

I have changed the master cylinder.. .Great came off a Fiat 500.... Now the slave/wheel cylinders... I have Fiat 500 ones which are wrong as the shape does not fit the back plate. (Nor do they have the male ends!).

Attached is a picture of my wheel cylinder... any ideas anyone?

Thanks... really want to be able to stop as well as go!

Have you tried your local motor factors?

I recall buying brake pads for our beetle when we had it and they were wrong. Went in and looked through the books as they have drawings at the back.

Hello
did you have any luck at the motor factors ?
I will try and have a look at mine tomorrow but I am sure they are both (I have a van and a saloon) Fiat 500/126 so 2 different sorts must of been fitted
if it comes to it you could have the old ones sleeved but its not cheap
