Mine was made in 1973.
Lucky me, I've gotten by with a wave and a smile when being approached by police on my round the block jaunts. So far they just can't seem to take it seriously enough to become upset about it here in Jurassic Park.
Suspecting a moped licence might be most appropriate if I tried to register it here in California, but prefer to continue to get by with the laugh factor, as it's top speed limits my jaunts to my neighborhood anyway.
Then again, if I get the power steering working on my skip loader soon, I'll then be empowered to make my own road on my barn property where no such consideration applies. ;)

This is interesting from Barn finds. In particular shipping.

Iām sure you can have it shipped for much less than $3,000 ā contact an agent for Wallenius Wilhelmsen and ask about shipping it ro-ro (not in a container) ā you should be pleasantly surprised. I shipped dozens and dozens of cars out of Southampton, UK that way and never had a problem nor did any of my cars sustain damage.
