Enough talking the talk. Time to walk the walk.
This thread is only for photos of our own RUM's. Doesn't matter if unrestored, in middle of resto, or restored.
Doesn't matter if photo only, or description too.
WE NEED YOUR PHOTOS - RIGHT HERE!
This will become one long thread, with (eventually) all our cars featured.
These are your choices:
1. Upload photos directly onto this site
2. Use photobucket or flickr etc and copy and paste the title into your thread
3. Email your digital photos to me (or to someone else) and we'll upload them for you
4. (As a last resort) Post the photos to me (or to someone else) and we'll scan & upload the photos for you (please remember to mention your forum name and brief details of the vehicles).

To start us off, this is my 1927 BLOTTO TRIPORTEUR
ENGINE: Anzani 350cc sidevalve
Manufacturer: Blotto Freres, 5 Rue Charlotte, Paris.
If anyone anywhere comes across any literature, catalogue, article, website thread, etc etc re this model, please let me know - I'd be eternally grateful. And if you find anything at an autojumble, or in a book or magazine, please buy it for me and I'll pay you immediately.

ARE YOU TRYING TO TAKE OVER THIS FORUM ? I thought a forum was for discussion not pictures!
-
Personally, I like seeing pictures of microcars/ three-wheelers. I belong to several other vintage forums, and they have good photo galleries of members' vehicles.
I didn't really want to start off a photo gallery myself; I'm definitely hoping it inspires other members to add their pictures.
I appreciate you're good at restoring Rob. I'm a duffer at spannering, mechanics, spraying, welding; but I have worked hard to learn internet skills and I simply wanted to share what I can. I enjoyed chatting to you on the phone this morning, and thanks for explaining that your reply was tongue-in-cheek rather than criticism.

Hello Colin,
Great chatting to you this morning. I seem to have put my foot in it again. :-[ Appologies.
Is that you standing next to your Blotto ? ;)
Rob. ;D

I've set up an account at photobucket so that any of us can host our photos there.
Just go to http://www.photobucket.com
and sign in with our username and password as below:
Username: rumcars
Password: rumcars
It's possible that more than one of us can't use it at the same time, so if it won't accept the above, just wait 10 minutes and try again. And once you've finished on it, please log out so someone else can log in.
Play around with it - upload fotos from your computer (maximum size 800x600).
Then copy and paste the IMG code below the photo onto your forum post and it should reproduce the relevant photo. (On some forums rather than the IMG code you have to use the URL link instead)
Once you've got the hang of it, it's easy to open your own photobucket account (and it's free too).
You'll notice pictures of the Gordon on the photobucket site. So here they are - I've simply typed below the IMG code (an 'IMG code' is below each photo in the photobucket album) and pressed 'Preview' on this forum to check that they've come out. If you've made a typing error you can scroll down past your preview and correct it, and then press preview button again. Finally, remember to press 'Post' to put your post onto the forum.

Colin,
Some while ago someone asked to see what the Gordon looked like before Bob started on the restoration. Now you know why it has taken such a long time. Can you put these pictures on to the Forum for me, it is Rum No.77.

RIGHT! Lets see if this works...... Ooooh it does!! This being the old Invacar Model 70 I had back in 2001, and which I sold to the late Simon Richter in April 2002. It's still very likely the ealiest Invacar version of the Model 70 known to survive.
-
Stuart, you're perfect now ! ;D ;D

And now for a picture of my Harding Consort & Argson Electric; - Just like that! Hur Hur Hur (!) ::) The Harding (the Green one!) I sold to the East Anglian Transport Museum to finance the Mini-Comtesse, whilst the Argson, (the black one!) is still in the back of Gan's shed.

Hi mates
Latest acquisition, a Honda Nippi invalid carriage. It evolved from a Honda Melody twist & go scooter
which fell into the hands of Nippi Vehicles.
Enjoy!

Hi Nick, It didn't come out. So have put it on for you! Bob. I LIKE IT. I WANT ONE.
-
If you really do want one Bob, I can put you in touch with a chap who's selling an almost identical one! Price; around £600 last year...
-
Hi Bob
Thanks for putting the photo up for me, I don't know what happened
to my version! Lost in translation, perhaps. Give me a while to get mine
up and running, then come and have a test drive.
If anyone finds a Honda Melody windscreen on their travels, I'm interested.
My Nippi has one but there's a lump knocked out of one corner. If the
screen comes with an 80cc piston, barrel and carb, so much the better!
If you don't want the Nippi that Stuart mentioned, I know a Frenchman
who might be interested.
Regards
Nick D.

And as a special treat for everyone, Heres a shot of your invalid carriage corespondant with his very first "micro" car, way back in May 1983. (ooh I'm never gonna live this one down......)
-
I can see how you became a stock car driver. Only one hand on the wheel! ;D
1983, I owned three Rovers that year. An Aunty 80 and two P5B 3500 Autos. Oh, and a Triumph Dolomite. ::) Great Days.
-
Oh yes Stuart, a must for RUMCAR NEWS I think!

You mean looking devil! ;D
