Allen keys, when were they invented?

£120? Thats gone up alot, it used to be about£40.

It used to be £35 for that money you had to be at Dover meet the rest of your fellow travellers then go as foot passengers abourd the boat, when you got to France a coach would be waiting to take you to Paris and the show. P+O then changed their rules wherby no foot passengers were allowed at night and the cost of hiring a coach in England + two drivers the organisers declined to do it.
  Now another firm is doing the run the £120 does include two nights in a 3* hotel and breakfast on two days, so it's quite reasonable ( this price is for 2 people sharing a room) and the price is for each person.

I know that it is being picky, however the correct answer to the original post most likely would be "on the first day that they were invented". . The Allen key could be inverted, turned upside-down, re-positioned or maneuvered in any other way, only after they were Invented. Such a simple spelling mistake alters the whole context of the statement.

What do you mean cuscus47? I was refering to the fact that the hexagon is not raised but is it fact set in or "inverted" into the head , no spelling mistake there! No you are quite right, suprised no one else pionted it out.

Yes, I also thought of that that the hex was inverted, but then don't they have a different name such as "screw-lock" or such, and have a little pin inside to prevent removal.  Maybe just an inverted hex is a six-sided socket?  Technicalities
