Very good link to lots of microcar pictures.

A few cars here that I had not seen before.

Thanks as as usual to original site and owners.

Some nice pictures and a few unique spellings! That Uldamobil and Vela Misetta, could have resulted in the Pee LP50 and the Risky Family three!

Do we know why the front end profile was changed on the P50 between prototype and production? That streamlined profile certainly adds a certain panache.

Yes we do,  the Proto-Peel was unstable with its one wheel at the front. So the production P50 was made a bit bigger and the front tidied up for the final marketed version.

Obviously one-wheel at the front was less stable, but that doesn't explain why instead of that smooth progressive curve to the front they had on the prototype they stuck on that ugly extra bit that sticks out above the headlight on the production model - it clearly doesn't provide any more room for your knees.

I think the production P50 looks much better than the prototype.  Looks are subjective!  I dont like the headlamp arrangement on the proto.

Just like I dont like the faired in wings of a KR175.

N.B,

Wonder if there was a proto Trident?  However the Trident is utterly pefect and could not be improved. (styling wise). Mechanically the steering is a disaster amongst other things!!
