Goggo Convertible
« on: March 09, 2008, 01:25:49 pm »
Apparently a genuine Goggomobil convertible for sale. Although the seller mentioned he is not an expert, and he can't affort restauration by a company, it seems he has a well equipped garage. Mind the Messerschmitt on the car lift.
Anyway, a convertible is very hard to find these days!

Hi

My Babelfish translation says something that I think means it was converted in 1971 or 1972

Interesting car though, and well worth restoring.

This is not an original goggo convertible - 6 or 7 were produced in 1957-8 for publicity purposes - they would have suicide doors - I beleive ther's one in America and one in Germany - there are a lot of copies some good, some bad - I have a copy of one. Expect the price to go beyond 4,000 Euro on this one though because the hood conversion will cost over 1,500 euro.
