RUMCAR OPEN DAY

  THE OPEN DAY THIS YEAR IS TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY 27TH jULY.  i HOPE MANY OF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR MICROCAR.

Are you going to drive it there? That would be one hell of a test of man and machine!
As usual I probably have a gigs that w/e, but one is waiting to be confirmed, so there is a slight chance that I will be there, and yes Stuart I DO want a go!

Well, foks. It's too early to know for sure, but it now looks like I might be able to get to the Open Day after all. If so I am actually thinking that I might bring my Drum Car along as lots of people have been asking to see it in action. The only problem is that it uses 2 car batteries to power it, and mine are both shot. I do not intend to buy 2 new ones just for one event, and I have no other outings planned for it this year. If anyone can bring an old battery with any power at all I should be able to get it going for a bit of fun. Hope I CAN make it, Marcus

I have a spare battery, it is quite old but never used, it should be O.K.

Let me know if you need it i will charge it up and bring it along.

I have been telling friends that I am bringing the Eccles to the event and there is quite a bit of interest and some have expressed an interest to come along. Is it open to the masses or is it a closed event? Entry fee?

Hi rokraider, it's open to the masses, no entry fee just turn up, 'the more the merrier'. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the progress you've made on the Eccles.

DRUM CAR

BE VERY AFRAID !!!

It is 7.30pm. I have just downed tools and had BREAKFAST. The Drum Car is loaded and ready to head down to the Open Day tomorrow. It had not been used for 6-8 years and neede quite a lot of work.

John: I have managed to borrow two old batteries so do not trouble to bring yours along, but many thanks for the offer.

I think all who see it will agree that the infamous Drum Car is just about the most ridiculous contraption ever, and so far there have only a few minor fatalities!
