Bob, you're obsessed with shiny cars, what happened to a little age or that lovely old car smell.

Mike, thats because thats how they looked when they were made, they were never intended to look a mess and smelly! this is old ground but as has been said before, if an old car can be found in original paint and is in good nick [that discounts about 95%] it should be left well alone and preserved as best as possible. Most need restoring and there would be little point in repainting a car and then artfully distressing the paint, adding some scratches and chips, painting a little rust on it here and there because that was never how they were meant to look!. Having scruffy cars just reflects the owners lack of maintenance or ability to restore. Fitz Fend, Laurie Bond, Ernest Heinkel etc all made nice shiny looking cars and thats how I like em too! Dont take all this too seriously chaps, its just a favourite banter subject between me and mike and is strickly tongue in cheek! Im not impartial to a nice "lived in" look car myself really! Mike , next you will be telling us that old microcars should be permanently dismantled in a garage. ;)

They were shiny when new, but they were made 50+ years ago and should retain some age.  >:(
