What is the Velorex doing here?   It is "Museum Quality!"

Yes, it's over-restored, and in better condition than my old one!

Whats the Velorex doing here? I just wanted to let the Young whipper snapper Stuart know that some real dogs have passed through my hands. I wondered when someone was going to accuse me of over restoring it! Marcus, you are a wagg!

Mine used to get a lot of looks when driven around London. Quite a number of coppers had a good long look too, but probably figured that no-one would DARE drive such a grotbag without it being legal

The Frankenschmitt does look pretty bad in that picture. But, here is a picture of what my first 'schmitt looked like when I bought it from the Microcar Museum. Can you believe the guy pulled up in a semi and asked me how I wanted to unload it?

Here is how we got it down. It was pretty scary!

And it was in much worse shape than the pictures show. Here is what it looked like when I finished it. I sold it in a moment of weakness.

Quite a transformation, Dr. What is a "semi"? Yes I know it's some kind of lorry, but why "semi", which means half?

Also love the Flitzer

Isn't it what we call an artic?    (Articulated lorry).

the world of Gordon fans has to be fairly small.

I think the word "fans" should be translated to Owners.  ;D

I think Americans do say semi to mean articulated, but can never get a clear historical/lingual reason. Is an artic half as big again, or half as rigid, or semi-detached or half a coupon short of a pop up toaster?

Semi is short for semi-trailer, what we call and artic, short for articulated lorry.  It typically has one group of axles which are usually at the rear, though sometimes in the centre.  It is opposed to a full trailer, which has an axle on the front and is drawn using a towing bar.  Here in the UK, you only tend to see full trailers behind rigid (non articulating) lorries but in other parts of the world, it is not uncommon to see a full trailer hitched to the back of a semi trailer.

Oh the joys of working in the truck industry.

Cheers, Squire!
Despite my regular visits to America no-one has ever been able to give me a proper explanation!
Alright, if you're so clever, now tell me what LTD means with regards to US lorries!

I think you are right there Rob. There are probably more owners than fans and you can count them on one hand.

I cannot say I am a fan of Gordons as such, but they are so rare and well-worth preserving for posterity, and I am looking forward to seeing a decent one.
