Any Isetta experts out there?

I'm looking at a LHD 3 wheeled Isetta, sliding window, cow lifter bumpers on front and chrome rear bumper with overriders, seven inch headlamps and reputed to have been first registered in 1960. Is this defiantly a Brighton built car , I heard some story about unsold German built cars coming back from Canada and being converted to three wheels in Brighton and sold in the UK. Is it possible to establish facts from the chassis number? Any help appreciated.

I am fairly certain that ALL Canadian export Isettas came from Isetta of Great Britain.
The ID tag should say built by Isetta of Great Britain and it should have Lucas electrics and Girling Hydraulics.

You could always send the chassis number (six digits) to BMW Mobile Tradition and see what they respond with.

they have been fairly good in the past about responding with whatever info they have.
of course if it was built by GB they may not have any information but if they have the chassis number as a German built they would.
