Bond minicar C or D?

Is the above minicar a mkC or D? I see its back is shaped as the "family" but it has a MkC grill, I was under the impression that the "family" was only an option with the mkD. Have I got this wrong?

I don't know but this guy has been trying to sell this for quite some time.  :-\

It has appeared on eBay numerous times and it was listed to be sold at a high-end auction in Monterey California a few weekends ago, but there is no result for it so I am guessing it did not meet reserve and did not sell.

I met the owner in Monterrey, California just before the Russo & Steele Auction.  He  represented it as a Mark C.  But I wouldn't know better if it wasn't.        He called me a few days later as it didn't meet it's reserve of $20K, and he wanted to know if I was interested in making an offer on it.
Considering that I already have the much more rare AC Petite, and I believe that he had proved that his reserve was too high- I said that I wasn't.
If you'd like me to try to find his number, and ask him a question for you- please state exactly what question you want me to ask- or alternatively when I find his number I'll relate it to you so that you can ask him yourself.  Then again its probably listed in the link Jim provided you above.
Curiously enough we had talked about shipping cars from Oregon to Los Angeles.  I owe you one for the trouble with the Heinkel so don't be afraid to let me know how I can help you ascertain its true identity, or if it becomes serious- buy and transport the car for you.

I didnt want to buy it but just wondered if he had a MkD with a C bonnet and grill. Mind you if it was in the uk and wasnt a victim of price hype I would love it. They are very usable microcars.

Latest auction prices achieved in America make some ear curling reading. I wondered what it might be like owning a few Ferraris once. I am beginning to find out! Not sure I like it as my background is in owning cars worth very little and I get uncomfortable with expensive stuff as it sort of feels wrong to have it. Mind you what better investment one can make with the money at the moment I am not sure. It is hard to throw off ones background and values though. That Type 70 looks more appealling all the time!

I tend to agree Al. Its nice to know we own things that are appreciating above inflation but the knowledge that eventually it will completely mess up our hobby is a concern.
