Oooha! To early in the morning for porno pics of schmitt bits. Very desirable and not expensive, yet.

I notice the department of Germany is Weltweit (spelling?). Sounds like a good area for boxing champions. Best not upset your chum!

Well blob, it doesnt really matter what it was because I sold on it the same day I bought it! No point in offering it to you because you would have dismantled it and left it to rot like your other cars! ;) ;) Still one day ahh!!

I agree that is very much the case but these are dribbly bits. We will see what happens in the auction. I think they were going in Mannhiem for Euro 300 to 400 each, allegedly.

A MIcrocar. Not an Axiam or Ligier, warm? Sold it the same day. Shrewd move!

I had an unhappy and brief ownership of a Ligier. It was, frankly, perhaps the worst car I have driven in a while. This after just having a Reliant Ant! For such a good chassis the Ligier was let down by to light weight a body that flexed, soft suspension and a steering wheel bolted to some element of structure that moved on hard cornering topped with a gutless engine. My Schmitt offered better performance and was 35 odd years older! I may have had a bad one but it was that bad I have not bothered to find out. I remain convinced that the chassis would be a great base for a 'kitcar; style treatment with a more interesting engine fitted that would still fit in the category of licence. Someone like Andy Carter would meld a workable design together using, perhaps, a historic body shape, like a Berkeley if motivated. Did wonder if Cooperman might do it. It is where mine ended up after a plastic dustbin blew into it and cracked the bonnet making £350 worth of damage, Crap body. These guys are all busy and not really looking for new projects though.

I agree, the Ligier is the worst of the three and the diesel is so slow its undrivable. Before we bought our G-wiz we wanted one of these french cars as a local run about and tried all three, finally deciding on a petrol Micriocar Virgo. To us it looked the nicest and went like a rocket, it would leave my schmitt still standing at the traffic lights wondering where first gear was with a top speed to match!  We had it for about five years over which time it gave good service but as a second car not being used daily it suffered from the usual problems of seizing brake calipers and flat batteries. The body panels were pretty strong, I'm sure a dustbin on a windy day would not have broken the bonnet.  I would never go back to one now we have the wiz, its been utterly reliable, unless I needed a second car for longer journeys of cousre but then again I always have Thumper.
