I was fascinated by the friction transmission of this car, the engine had a disc/plate fixed on the end of its crankshaft, at right angles to this disc was a roller which could be moved across the disc to make contact with it at any point from the center[no drive] to the outer edge which would give in effect top gear. So simple!
