You only weigh 5 stone Bob!
Even at 16, I was about 6ft 2" and a good 12 stone.  Tent and one week kit bag was like carrying a passenger.
Up hill the 2nd gear on a 3 gear was just OK.  I seem to remember my friend Tony having more trouble with the 2 gear.

You are going to tell me that the ratios of 2nd gear are the same as 1st gear on the VS 2 speed???
I know that I got up Maldon hill at high revs in 2nd but Tony was in first gear and couldn't keep up.  He was really screaming.

Oh I see. I have only tested my rebuilt two speed around the block a few times in fairly flat Hornchurch. I can see how three speeds would get someone out of trouble in a hill area especial if you are on the heavy side.

And my last vehicle has arrived this week.  Suzuki  ZR-50 S  1989. Not sure if it is good or bad?

Pardon me for reviving this very old thread but with some excitement I can report that today I finally got my Guzzino running again!
I suspected the intermittent spark problem was the coil so I rigged up a temporary battery and coil circuit using the bikes points and it fired up second kick.  Proves conclusively that its the coil that's kaput. Now to try and get it rewound.
