What do you reckon to this mokuli, peelpower? (or anyone else)/

I'm half-tempted. It's pricey, but they are pretty rare.

the club site says only 23 on the road.

i've not seen one advertised before - does anyone know of any in UK?

It looks pretty collectable. Not everything is genuine. But, i reckon its a fair Prize anyway, and if you looking forward to buy one, grap it mate.

Well, it took 6 years to get round to buying one. But here it is...

1965 Messerschmitt Mokuli Transportmoped

200kg payload

49cc

Ads are from the earlier version Type 130 (1957-1960)

This model Type 200 (1960-1965) uses the same front end as the Messerschmitt Cabin Cruiser

The brakes etc are the same but I think you will find the suspension arms are slightly different. Not that that matters. If I am right there two brand new ones lurking in Lincolnshire. All from the link with Knott and MKE. I think Wynford has one or two of these but not sure which, or if they are designated Mokuli. There are larger engined machines, some of them had MKE units very similar to the TG500. Not a topic I know a lot about nor am motivated to own but an interesting machine to acquire and enjoy. You could take it to Wickstead Park, Kettering, Northamptonshire, this weekend and the main FMR Rally of the year.

Bobs very quiet , I suspect he's on holiday , otherwise he would join me in saying good fun but VERY off topic . Thought we were self moderating now  ;) my Bruetsch also shares the same brake backplates so you might say the mokuli is ok on that link as well .

Richard thanks for adding the factory photo. If you don't mind, I'll add it to the museum information page.

Re the transfer, it's actually for the Mokuli Type 250 rather than the Type 200 (The Type 200 has FMR after the name rather than the Messerschmitt logo).

(You can see I already illustrated it on the Mokuli page).

But it's the only transfer I've found available, so I'll need to order a pair anyway for the petrol tank.

Colin that phto will be copyright so take your chances . It's from that lovely little book Small Cars,Kleinwagen  Petites Voiture by TASCHEN 30 postcards. That tank transfer would make a big difference

I think Frank Thunieg (spelling failure) might have info on Mokuli and availability of transfers etc. If so Ferdi would probably know as they are chums.

There are some excellent pictures within the FMR factory. No idea on copy-write but many of those images have been reproduced and should be accessible.
