hmmm but both these were ratios as given in the 50's , and they both refer to the LS400 engine the only difference would seem to be the carburetor . that word itself is interesting as there are several acceptable spellings of the word carburettor - i seem via spell check to have ended up with the American spelling which looks odd to us English.the German manual does not specify the oil - the U.S.says "regular gasoline oil 40 weight , AMF oil , is this our 40 grade straight oil . still looking for a reason for the difference in ratios . Wilksie , of this forum what do you use in your LP400 engine ? and why ?
