Invalid Carriages on American TV
« on: December 09, 2014, 11:35:27 pm »
Ian Hellings was paid a visit by AMERICAN PICKERS, a show on the History Channel that is about a couple of guys that travel around looking at people's collections of stuff and buying things for their store.

They visited Ian Hellings and his collection of microcars, 3-wheelers and Invalid Carriages.
The episode is NOT available to watch on the Internet (like YouTube) and cannot be uploaded to YouTube because it has a Digital Fingerprint that flags it so it gets removed within about an hour.

So I have recorded the episode, edited out only Ian's parts and reduced the size to make it a 94MB mp4 file you can download and watch if you want. The final version is about 12 minutes.
The mp4 is wrapped in a ZIP file to force you to download it to your computer, then you open the ZIP file to find the video file to play it.

Its good. He manages to take the mick out of the presenters, who do not twig straight away. They have dubbed a bit so quote 70 miles an hour when it was not said. ICs, so much more interesting than Microcars,as they really have some bonkers machinary!

Thanks for taking the time to put this on here Jim, really enjoyed the clip.
Ian Hellings seems an interesting chap, is he well known in the US micro car scene?
