It's a shame that I wasn't allowed a shot at it.
Contrary to the seller's claim, it is not the only one left, although it may be the best preserved one left.
I saw one sell to Jeff Lane at the  Bruce Weiner auction in 2012.
Didn't Al have one also?
He was certainly enamored of like appliances.
Anybody else know of one floating about?

It sounds like you need to be quicker off the mark when vehicles come up for sale.

The Larmar is quite heavy and therefore unlikely to float, unless assisted by a lot of hot air or light gas.

I have been informed of one than exists  up in my area of Scotland. not for sale and condition unknown but by all accounts complete  . I will try and find out more just for interest.

Chris,
As you previously implied, I also believe that someone else managed to find a way to show up on his doorstep with an amount of cash considerably greater than the amounts bring bid, in hand.
That is rather difficult to arrange from nearly 6,000 miles away.

The author of the above scenario suggesting that one might  find a Larmar suspended gondola like above a body of water, may find himself buoyed up by a similar gaseous medium.

Seriously now, does the keeper of the Rumcars registry know of other Larmars?
Didn't Al have something to do with one at some time?

 There are six & a half Larmar's knocking around. One in Scotland, the one just vanished from eBay, two in the USA (Jeff Lane with the ex. Bruce Weiner/Alan H 1st car, and Ian Hellings, with the ex Alan H 2nd car) and two & a rolling chassis in a location requested to be kept secret.
