I met the owner in Monterrey, California just before the Russo & Steele Auction. He represented it as a Mark C. But I wouldn't know better if it wasn't. He called me a few days later as it didn't meet it's reserve of $20K, and he wanted to know if I was interested in making an offer on it.
Considering that I already have the much more rare AC Petite, and I believe that he had proved that his reserve was too high- I said that I wasn't.
If you'd like me to try to find his number, and ask him a question for you- please state exactly what question you want me to ask- or alternatively when I find his number I'll relate it to you so that you can ask him yourself. Then again its probably listed in the link Jim provided you above.
Curiously enough we had talked about shipping cars from Oregon to Los Angeles. I owe you one for the trouble with the Heinkel so don't be afraid to let me know how I can help you ascertain its true identity, or if it becomes serious- buy and transport the car for you.
