Ah yes, I spotted these about half past ten last night.  :o  Both previusly unkown to me & both rather interesting! The Dingwall is only the third example known to me  :o whilst the electric is a Carter & looks to be a Model E, again only the third Model E so far known.  :o Its certainly not 100 years old, but it COULD be very tail-end of the 1930s, or more likely late '40s.

In the past few minnites I've just got off the phone from the seller. I'm off up to his place tommorow to have a closer look at them....  8)

Here we are then, for all those itching to see;  First up is the petrol Dingwall, dating from October 1938. Only the third known powered Dingwall. Quite nice & solid, & last on the road in 1958 !!!  I wouldn't mind this myself actully......

And now we come to the Carter. This dates from about the mid 1930s, but is in rather 'orrible condition. But what a history! For this Carter was originally owned by Lady Nancy Astor, the second woman to be elected to parliment & the first woman to sit in the House of Commons, representing Plymouth from 1919 to 1945.  For those doubting, all the dates check out, she would have been in her early sixties when this vehicle was new and she was in somewhat ill health in later years prior to her death in 1964, and you needed to be quite well-to-do to afford one of these in the '30s. I have no reason to doubt the tale.  Vehicle owned by the current owner since 1975.
