This particular Argson has been knocking around for a couple of years, first turning up in Rislip & then moving to near Reading. It dates from 1953 & is only the second example yet observed with this type of weather protection, borrowed from an Invacar Wstcliff.   I in fact found & rescued some years ago the only other known Argson-Invacar weather kit, which has since been donated to Ian Hellings to assist in the restoration of his ex. Igor Ashwell Invacar Mk 8, which is minius weather protection.

To get back to the Argson on eBay, there is absulutly no link whatsoever between this vehicle & the RAF or Guy Gibson. The only "Forces" thing about it is an army-surplus battery box with a WD arrow on it  Funny it should turn up on eBay now becuse the same seller (who bought it on eBay last March for £250) had been trying to sell it for months for £1,850 on classiccarsforsale website with no takers.
