Dear John (This does not feel right, It's females who normaly write that)
I think we should ask the question, is an Argocat a Microcar? It is certainly unusual in having 6 or 8 wheels, uses a skid steer mechanism, floats on water and has a small engine. But on the other hand most, if not all are not street legal, but then again so are most of the three wheel tractors that are of interest. I think the membership should decide.
I live about two miles away from Westerham where Crayford had their little workshop on the main road (which is now a house) and I remember looking in as I drove past seeing the various cars having their roofs cut off. The Argocats were delivered in batches ready for final assembly in a container and off loaded in the carpark of the Grasshopper pub at Moorhouse and transported on the back of a pickup to the small workshop where they were assembled and despatched, in amongst the conversions they were doing to all sorts of cars from Mini's to Mercedes.
