« on: November 10, 2007, 11:00:21 pm »
HI EVERYONE

DECIDED TO LIST MY ADDAX ON EBAY :-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120182399881&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=002

IT'S IN NICE ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH JUST RECOMMISSIONING REQUIRED.

THE BUY IT NOW IS WHAT IT WORKED OUT COSTING ME.

I ALSO HAVE A CAR TRANSPORTER TRAILER FOR SALE AS I AM LOOKING FOR A SMALL TRAILER TO TRANSPORT JUST 1 CAR AT A TIME.

HOPE TO CONCENTRATE ON THE ACOMA BREAK READY FOR NEXT SEASON.

ALL THE BEST

JOHN

Hello John, What a sweety! What was your buy it now price as the early bidders have caused it to disappear. Bob.

Hi Bob

Thanks for the interest.

I had it at £799 and did't realise that the buy it now would dissapear with the first bid.

Have sold the car transportrer trailer on a buy it now already ( if funds arrive)

All the best

I have often wondered about the 'buy it now' on Ebay, having tried the same strategy as John but with the same outcome. Does anyone know how to list the

Unfortunately, you can't keep the "buy it now" option showing once someone has placed a bid unless you list the item at a fixed price (i.e no auction). The nearest you can get is to set the start price just below the buy it now price.

You could list a fixed price item with a "best offer" option and state some acceptable guide price for serious offers within the listing.

You can put a reserve price close to your buy it now price. So if you have a start of say .99p and a buy it now of £600, you put in a reserve of say £550. So if someone clicks on your buy it now of £600, it's theirs. If a bid of .99p is put on first then the buy it now option goes and then all the next bids have to climb above your reserve of £550 untill it is sold. So you can be £600 in pocket or £550 or if two idiots like I am sometimes want the item  the bidding can go way above what you wanted!
But putting all the 'extras' on your listing costs. That is why I always put on a start price of what I am happy to get wether it's .99p or £45 or whatever.  ;D
