How rare are the models with KR175 mecanicals and wheel arches but with KR200 windscreen and roof ? Just curious, not thinking of buying

here is one in the US:
http://autogallerymuseum.com/agcomment.asp?DisplayType=P&StockNo=7207&PicNo=1

it has been for sale for quite some time now.
I have heard from others who have seen it that it is not quite as nice as it looks in the pics, but isn't that always the case?

Hello !
Bubble and windscreen are exactly the same on the KR 175 2b and the kr 200. My windscreen was broken and i replaced it with a kr 200 one, and my bubble has gone on a kr 200, without problem.

Hello Bob,

I am restoring a 1951 Rolux, still the Avolette (it will be fixed for the sunny days i think) and two Terrot VMS 1 Scooters. All of this wheel family can be seen on my Blog, which i ontinue to update every week. I have just painted the first Terrot two days ago, and i 'm happy. I finished the Lambretta type C a few time ago. And you, how is your Inter ?
Friendly,
Don

Yes, there are kr 175 2/a and 2/b. I don't really know the difference, but i think it is a story with reverse. 2/a looks like mine, but without reverse. Kr 175 2/b does. And it is better not to have to turn off motor for the reverse ! Friends who owns kr 200 were jealous of my reverse ! This information about 2/a and 2/b must be verified in the messerschmitt club owner.

Ah Donald, You are making me jealous agian , the Rolux is one of my favorite cars, if you find a spare one please sell it to me!! I looked on the messerschmitt owners club website and could find no information about the 2a or 2b. I already knew about the developments with regards the reverse gear and other changes but knew nothing of a KR175 with the KR200 canopy. The MOC in the uk seems to be only interested in the TG500 and KR200. My Inter is almost finished, I just have to fit the screen and the tonneau cover then I will get it registered for the road.Progress on the Inter has been slow this year due to a long period of illness but I am getting better now and should finish the car by next summer. Best wishes, I hope your father is well.   Bob

Bob,
The Rolux doesn't belong to me, i do it for a friend, who is unable do do the work.
You know, it is very possible to find a Rolux these days. You know, it was a Restored Rolux for sale in a french magazine called "la vie de l'auto" last month. It is just a price question, this one was i think 6000 euros. Very expansive if we know how simple the vehicle is, but not as axpansive as a schmitt, for something rarer...If i hear speaking for a Rolux, i'll tell you. It is a very pretty car, but no drive a long time. But you can drive with it if you're not hurry !!! (45/50 km/h)
Regards,
Don
