This NSU was used for great entertainment during the winter.  We all took turns to drive it at full speed into a 3ft high snow drift on our farm track.

The trick was to jump a little bit on impact leaving the bike in the wall of snow and fly through the air for as far as possible.  Somersaults were encouraged.

Our friend Simon Matchett (not a born motorcycalist) did everything right and at full speed hit the snow.  He seemed to prefer the parallel exit angle and forgot to jump at the last minute.

I think that NSU still has dents (from his undercarriage) running up the tank into the handle bars where his knees went under and his body went over meeting in the snow on the other side.  He only did it once!

There was one taking part in the autocycle run last sunday, it was the late type with dual seat and the guy was carrying his wife as pillion passenger. It was bit slow on the hills mind.

The Quickly couple was probably Clive & Ann Luckett.  They're regulars at Headcorn and are coming to Sars Poteries for the first time this year.  Anybody else up for it?
