Yup, Mini based I think. Slightly eccentric styling.

Yep Mini based with a chrome exhaust guard along the side as I recall.

Chris  Reece's book as recalled by bob . oddly i find that the project looks more attractive than the finished job , doesn't that exhaust guard look a little clumsy ? just a thought if something had to leave the garage and go under a tarpaulin surely i would choose to put the fibreglass shell outdoors and not the chassis ?

True, but fibreglass can absorb water and then start de-laminating, if not done very skillfully. A friend had a Bond Equipe whose body went bubbly.

Bubbly bodies!
F/g boats and liquid tanks do have to be made carefully, ensuring the resin totally permeates and covers the glass.!

Obviously where Mr.Bruetsch went wrong - my car was literally falling apart i.e. Top from bottom and floor from wheelarches .  But we must assume this 1990's car would be waterproof Marcus . Cars that can't be used in the rain ?

Yes, Jeans Tourette was also falling apart, I think they were still learning back then.

The guy who repaired Jeans reckoned they were not using enough resin.

Thanks barry but nothing like what I need at all . Bob I shall say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Mr. Merkelts fibreglassing having the same problems as Herr Bruetsch's - not a word  ;D.       Yes.  I presume the same , the main pieces were fine but were joined to each other by a one thickness bandage 3" wide and that had completely dried out - I think it was just the paint holding mine together !

That's a good point, wind ups aside, I wonder if Mr Merkelt the grandson remembers who actually made the Tourette shells? I will ask and report back.
