Micro motorhome
« on: November 18, 2010, 08:35:44 am »
My December 2010 motorhome magazine featured the launch of this little gem from German converter Dethleffs at the Dusseldorf Caravan salon:

Ideal for the 2011 rally season.

Looks good, but cornering might be a bit wayward!

The designer should have taken a leaf out of Stuart's Mini Comtesse Book of Stability and fitted those cornering castors.

Yes, that what I thought. One light cross wind ........ I guess one could use it as a trailer tent! I looks nice anyway.

Here's an even smaller one:

Note the drop-down side panel to make a space big enough to sleep in.

Nice Camper Nick. What size engine is it, and how much is insurance?

Hi Marcus.  It's a 1600 petrol and comprehensive insurance with Lancaster is £200 with breakdown cover.  It sleeps five - if you're good mates - perfect for one.  There's an article about it in a future issue of Classic Van & Pick-up magazine, I'll let you know when it's published.
